T90 Nylon Cable 600V

T90 Nylon cables are constructed with annealed (soft) copper conductors and insulated with a durable, heat- and moisture-resistant thermoplastic PVC insulation.
A tough nylon jacket is applied over the insulation for added mechanical protection and chemical resistance.
Sizes from AWG 14 (19 strands) to AWG 4/0 (19 strands) utilize combination unilay stranding for enhanced flexibility and conductor integrity, while larger stranded sizes use compressed stranding.
T90 Nylon cables are available in a variety of standard colors, including black, white, red, blue, green, yellow, brown, orange, and gray, allowing for easy phase and circuit identification.

Application

T90 Nylon cables are primarily designed for use in conduit or raceways, as well as for exposed wiring in dry or damp indoor environments. With a voltage rating of up to 600 volts, they are suitable for residential, commercial, and light industrial wiring applications. These cables are built to perform reliably in a range of conditions, with a maximum operating temperature of 90°C in dry locations and 75°C in wet or damp areas. For cold weather use, T90 Nylon cables can be installed and handled down to -10°C, with continuous operation possible at temperatures as low as -25°C. Always refer to the Canadian Electrical Code Part 1 for specific installation requirements and guidance.

FAQ

Q: Is thhn wire the same as T90?

A: Functionally very similar. Both have PVC insulation, nylon jackets, and the same voltage and temperature ratings. THHN / MTW / THWN-2 / T90 cables are designed for general-purpose wiring applications in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Q: What is the difference between T90 and TW75?

A: RW90 is best for indoor applications where the cable is protected by conduit.
RWU90 is suitable for outdoor or underground installations, offering direct burial capability and sunlight resistance.
