The GERITEL WIRE 25mm2 battery cable is a battery bank interconnect cable for RV power, medium chargers, starter circuits and selected solar inverter systems. Fine Class 5 copper strands allow smooth routing in confined battery boxes and cabinets, while PVC insulation can be supplied in red, black or project-specific colors. The conductor size should be confirmed from continuous current, surge demand, cable length, voltage drop, fuse and terminal ratings. GERITEL WIRE supports coils, reels, cut-to-length supply and finished assemblies with approved copper lugs, labels and heat shrink to improve wiring consistency. Batch resistance checks and controlled assembly drawings help maintain repeatable performance.

GERITEL WIRE H05V-K & H07V-K cable has been specially designed for installations that reguire a flexible cable due to the complex nature of their layout.
This cable is especially suitable for domestic wiring.
It may also be used for eguipment wiring,distributors,cabinets and tighting.

Do positive and negative battery cables need to be the same size?

In most two-wire DC circuits, the positive and negative battery cable carry the same current, so matching conductor size is normally appropriate unless the system design specifically uses a chassis return. Different lengths may still create different voltage drops. GERITEL WIRE can supply matched red and black cable from the same construction and can control cut lengths for repeatable OEM harness production.

Should parallel battery cables be the same length?

Equal-length parallel battery cables help keep path resistance similar so current shares more evenly between batteries or conductors. Differences in lug resistance and routing also matter. GERITEL WIRE can supply measured battery cable lengths with consistent conductor construction and identification, but the system designer should also use balanced connection layouts and verify torque and terminal condition during installation.

How do I size a battery cable for starter motor surge current?

Starter circuits carry high current for a short time, so battery starter cable must be checked for cranking voltage drop, thermal duty, cable length and cold-temperature performance. Continuous ampacity tables alone may not give the full answer. GERITEL WIRE can evaluate CCA, engine type, duty duration and route length and manufacture a flexible low-resistance cable compatible with the specified lugs and insulation environment.

When calculating battery cable length, do I use one-way or round-trip distance?

For voltage-drop calculations, use the complete current path: positive cable to the load plus the negative return cable. Battery cable length is therefore usually the round-trip conductor length, even when the equipment manual states a one-way physical distance. GERITEL WIRE recommends documenting both values on the RFQ so conductor size and cut length are not confused during quotation or production.
