2.2 Core Wire Model 2: NYM-J – Suitable for Indoor Power Supply of Large Equipment

The NYM-J wire is a multi-core installation wire with PVC insulation and sheath, which is suitable for fixed installation in buildings and is especially suitable for power supply of large processing equipment in tobacco factories. We provided the client withNYM-J wires of multiple specifications, including 3x4mm, 3x6mm, 4x10mm, 4x25mm, and 5x16mm, which are mainly used for power supply of tobacco sorting machines, packaging machines, and drying equipment.

The client chose NYM-J because it has the characteristics of high load-bearing capacity and strong anti-interference. Tobacco processing equipment has large power and high requirements for stable power supply. NYM-J adopts multi-core copper conductor design, which has low resistance and strong conductivity, ensuring that the equipment can work stably without power fluctuations. In addition, the PVC outer sheath of NYM-J is resistant to acids, alkalis, and slight mechanical damage, which can adapt to the harsh environment of the workshop (tobacco dust and slight chemical corrosion). Compared with ordinary multi-core wires, NYM-J has better sealing performance, which can prevent dust and moisture from entering the wire, reducing the risk of short circuits and equipment failures.

2.3 Core Wire Model 3: SWA – Perfect for Outdoor Power Transmission

The SWA (Steel Wire Armoured) cable is a hard-wearing cable composed of black PVC sheath, XLPE insulation, copper conductor, and steel wire armouring, which is mainly used for outdoor power transmission of the factory, including the power supply between the main power station and the new workshop, and the power transmission of outdoor auxiliary facilities. We provided the client with SWA cables of multiple specifications, including 3x25mm, 3x35mm, 4x50mm, 4x120mm, and 4x240mm, which can meet the needs of different distance and power transmission requirements.

The client chose SWA cables because of their excellent mechanical protection and corrosion resistance. Zambia’s outdoor environment has large temperature differences and frequent rainfall, and the outdoor wires need to withstand harsh weather conditions and possible mechanical damage (such as construction operations and animal damage). The steel wire armouring layer of SWA cables can effectively resist external mechanical pressure and prevent the cable from being broken or damaged; the XLPE insulation layer has good heat stability and chemical resistance, which can adapt to the outdoor environment of Zambia; at the same time, SWA cables can be directly buried, which saves installation space and reduces installation costs compared with overhead wires.
