Copper Earthing Wire for Industrial Cabinets and Panels

25mm2 V90 earth conductor is made with nineteen 1.35 mm plain annealed copper strands, providing a Class 2 construction for industrial cabinets, switchboards, distribution assemblies and protected apparatus. The 19/1.35 green yellow building wire is manufactured to AS/NZS 5000.1 with conductor requirements to AS/NZS 1125. This 600/1000V protective earth cable uses V-90 PVC insulation only, has no outer sheath and is specified for a 75°C maximum continuous operating temperature. GERITEL WIRE can provide custom drum lengths, cable printing, reel identification and batch documentation. Engineers should verify short-circuit duty, support, bend space and compatible copper lugs before installation.

Is earth wire the same as ground wire?

Earth wire and ground wire are regional terms that often describe the same protective function, although local rules and system terminology differ. GERITEL WIRE uses copper grounding wire, protective earth conductor and green/yellow building wire as search-friendly names while keeping the formal AS/NZS description in technical documents.

Why do suppliers call it building wire and earth wire?

Building wire earth cable combines two common Australian and New Zealand search terms for single-core V-90 PVC wire used in fixed installations. GERITEL WIRE uses familiar buyer terminology in product pages but preserves the exact conductor class, voltage and unsheathed construction in quotations.

Is stranded copper easier to install than solid copper?

Stranded copper earth wire is generally easier to route around bends than an equivalent solid conductor, but this product remains Class 2 fixed-wiring cable rather than fine-stranded flex.
