Built for practical routing around industrial components, this 6mm flexible PE cable uses fine-stranded annealed copper with V-90 PVC insulation and green/yellow identification. Rated 0.6/1 kV, it supports protective earthing and bonding in pumps, conveyors and process equipment. Flexible construction eases routing through ducts, bends and crowded terminals while helping installers form neat, secure connections. Specify the green yellow machine earth wire when a dependable 600/1000V grounding conductor is needed for fixed electrical installations rather than continuous motion. Applications

For use as protective earth in electrical installations. For use where improved aging properties to those of 75°C PVC are required because of higher ambient temperatures. Suitable for glanding.

How is a flexible earth cable different from a braided earth strap?

A braided earth strap is normally selected for very short bonding links or movement/vibration. This product is an insulated Class 5 cable for fixed wiring and glandable connections. Flame propagation is assessed to AS/NZS 1660.5.6. GERITEL WIRE can review the size, installation method and termination details before quotation. Relevant product terms are 0.6/1kV green yellow flexible earth cable, Class 5 copper protective earth conductor and V-90 PVC earth cable.

Can I use welding cable instead of a certified protective earth cable?

Do not substitute welding cable solely because it is flexible. The earth conductor should have the required voltage rating, colour identification, standards and installation approval. SAA certification is split between SAA241316 and SAA241317 according to conductor size. GERITEL WIRE can provide the applicable SAA certificate, datasheet and project-document package. Is this cable the same as automotive battery cable?
