Permanent Power Connections for Prefabricated Building Projects

Prefabricated buildings shorten site assembly time, yet permanent electrical connections still need careful planning. ACWU90 400 kcmil modular building wire may be assessed for approved fixed AC distribution between site service equipment and modular building infrastructure, rather than flexible internal module wiring. Four aluminum alloy conductors, RW90 XLPE insulation, interlocked aluminum armour and an external PVC jacket define the ACWU90 construction. GERITEL WIRE can review project sequences, drum identification and China factory export arrangements with modular project developers. Drawings must clarify the termination method, bonding and current rating of the 400 kcmil feeder before material is ordered.

ACWU90 400 kcmil 4C Armored Wire

Scope

This specification covers three or four compact-stranded 8000 series aluminum alloy conductors with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation plus one bare aluminum alloy bonding conductor in multi-conductor cables. Conductor assembly is wrapped and enclosed in interlocked aluminum armour with flame retardant PVC jacket.Type ACWU90 cable is conforming to CSA C22.2 No. 51 standard .cUL file No.E544860.

Application

Type ACWU90 cables are primarily intended for exposed and concealed wiring in dry or wet locations and where exposed to the weather. For use in ventilated, non-ventilated, and ladder type cable trays in wet and dry locations; direct earth burial; service entrance above or below ground.
