Efficient 6 sq mm copper feeder cable for dedicated electrical loads
Dedicated circuits for EV chargers, heat pumps and workshop loads often prompt searches for a 6mm2 EV charger supply cable. This IEC 60502-1 copper/XLPE/PVC construction is intended for fixed 0.6/1kV distribution, not for moving leads or direct vehicle connection. The larger cross-section offers additional design headroom compared with 4mm², but a qualified engineer must still calculate allowable current from route, grouping, voltage drop and ambient conditions. When customers ask about cut length Cu XLPE PVC cable, the practical answer is: Cut lengths may be possible for suitable sizes and quantities. Cable ends need sealing, identification and packaging that protect them during transport and storage. Where mechanical, fire or environmental duty is higher, request the appropriate alternative construction.
What packaging options are available for export orders?
Options can include coils, reels or wooden/steel drums depending on size and length. Export route, forklift access, maximum drum weight and destination rules should be included. GERITEL WIRE treats export packing power cable as a project-specific requirement, not a label-only substitution. GERITEL WIRE can review destination requirements and separate the standard PVC design from LSZH or armoured alternatives.
