XHHW-2 grade is required for apron underground conduit, baggage handling basements, aircraft maintenance bays, outdoor lighting circuits and any area with sustained humidity or moisture exposure, as it maintains full 90°C performance in wet conditions to avoid premature aging and code non-compliance.
