THHN/THWN copper building wire is copper conductor, PVC insulation and nylon sheath. THHN/THWN conductors are made with soft drawn copper. Sizes 14 through 4/0 AWG use a combination-inlay stranding, while 250 kcmil and larger sizes use a compressed copper stranding. 14awg to 10awg are solid or stranded conductors, and over 8awg are stranded conductors. The wire is covered with tough heat and moisture resistant PVC insulation with an overall nylon jacket utilizing Technology. Available in black, white, red, blue, purple, green, yellow, orange, brown, and gray. Also available in striped configurations. Some colors are subject to economic order quantity.
Application
THHN wire is designed according to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and meets industry standards, ensuring its suitability for use in different building and wiring projects. THHN/THWN has excellent elasticity, whether wet or dry, with temperature limits not exceeding 90°C, or in the presence of oil or coolant not exceeding 75°C. The rated voltage is 600 volts, which is sufficient to meet standard electrical requirements and provide reliable power transmission in a variety of applications. THHN wires are highly adaptable, whether in commercial buildings, industrial facilities or residential buildings, providing flexibility for electrical installations in a variety of environments and are also suitable for advanced industrial machinery and equipment.
