8/3 Copper MC (Metal-Clad) Cable with ground features three 8-gauge solid or stranded copper conductors and an additional green insulated ground wire, all encased in a metal cladding for added protection and flexibility.
8/3 MC cable uses soft-drawn bare copper for excellent conductivity and durability. Copper is a preferred material due to its superior electrical performance, corrosion resistance, and flexibility.
The insulation type THHN/THWN-2 provides excellent protection against heat, moisture, and chemicals, making this cable suitable for harsh environments. This insulation allows for a temperature rating of 90°C in dry conditions and 75°C in wet conditions, ensuring reliable performance in a variety of settings.
MC cable is protected by robust metal cladding, offering enhanced mechanical protection, fire resistance, and flexibility during installation. The cladding makes the cable suitable for direct burial and environments where physical protection is required.
