600 kcmil aluminum RHH cable is designed for major feeder systems where substantial conductor capacity must be combined with practical installation logistics. On large infrastructure and industrial projects, its lower aluminum weight can reduce the handling burden of long feeder runs while thermoset insulation supports protected 90°C dry-location service. GERITEL WIRE manufactures 600 MCM aluminum RHH wire with stranded construction for fixed power distribution. 600 kcmil aluminum RHH power distribution wire can be supplied for the confirmed voltage class with custom marking, reel numbering and packaging. Because conductor and reel dimensions are significant at this size, pulling conditions, equipment entries and site lifting capacity should be considered during procurement.

APPLICATIONS

Type USE-2, RHH or RHW-2 cables with Aluminum Alloy 8000 Series conductors are suitable for use in conduit and raceways installed underground in wet locations, and where condensation and moisture accumulations within the conduit do not exceed 90°C. Permitted for Type USE-2 per UL-854 for applications requiring direct burial. For applications requiring Type RHH or RHW-2, conductor temperatures shall not exceed 90°C in wet or dry locations. Type USE-2 is permitted for 600 volt applications. Type RHH/RHW-2 is permitted for applications up to 1000 volts.

FEATURES

10 AWG and larger rated for Sunlight Resistance. Cables comply with UL's FT-2 (horizontal wire flame). On 250 KCMIL and larger, sequential foot markings located every foot for easy measuring. For 1 AWG through 4/0 AWG, sequential foot markings on master reels only unless otherwise specified. 1/0 AWG and larger are rated for cable tray use and comply with UL-1685-Method 1 (70,000 Btu/hr) flame test. Excellent ruggedized and mechanical protection.
