3 AWG is especially useful when an engineered feeder calculation lands between more common conductor steps. Instead of moving directly from 4 AWG to 2 AWG, designers can specify 3 AWG aluminum RHH wire when load, voltage drop and terminal capacity support the choice. GERITEL WIRE produces 3 AWG aluminum RHH cable with stranded aluminum and thermoset insulation for protected 90°C dry-location wiring. The product can serve panel feeds, industrial equipment and electrical-room distribution without forcing unnecessary oversizing. 3 AWG aluminum RHH feeder cable is available with project voltage marking, custom identification, planned reel lengths and made-to-order packaging.

APPLICATIONS

Type USE-2, RHH or RHW-2 cables with Aluminum Alloy 8000 Series conductors are suitable for use in conduit and raceways installed underground in wet locations, and where condensation and moisture accumulations within the conduit do not exceed 90°C. Permitted for Type USE-2 per UL-854 for applications requiring direct burial. For applications requiring Type RHH or RHW-2, conductor temperatures shall not exceed 90°C in wet or dry locations. Type USE-2 is permitted for 600 volt applications. Type RHH/RHW-2 is permitted for applications up to 1000 volts.

FEATURES

10 AWG and larger rated for Sunlight Resistance. Cables comply with UL's FT-2 (horizontal wire flame). On 250 KCMIL and larger, sequential foot markings located every foot for easy measuring. For 1 AWG through 4/0 AWG, sequential foot markings on master reels only unless otherwise specified. 1/0 AWG and larger are rated for cable tray use and comply with UL-1685-Method 1 (70,000 Btu/hr) flame test. Excellent ruggedized and mechanical protection.
