10mm2 V90 PVC cable combines a 7/1.35 mm plain annealed copper conductor with single-layer V-90 PVC insulation for fixed installation in switchboards, control panels, distribution equipment and protected conduit. The stranded copper switchboard wire offers easier routing than a solid conductor while retaining the stable handling expected from Class 2 building wire. This AS/NZS 5000.1 single core wire is rated 0.6/1kV, uses conductor construction to AS/NZS 1125 and has a 75°C maximum continuous operating temperature. GERITEL WIRE supports standard colours, project marking, cut lengths and coil or drum packing. Final design must confirm current, derating, voltage drop, protective device and lug compatibility.

Can this unsheathed cable be installed exposed outdoors?

Unsheathed PVC cable should not automatically be treated as an exposed outdoor cable. It normally requires suitable conduit, enclosure or another approved protective wiring method, and UV suitability must be confirmed separately. GERITEL WIRE avoids adding unsupported outdoor claims and can recommend a different sheathed cable family when exposure is required.

Can V90 building wire be buried directly in the ground?

This insulation-only product is not marketed as a direct burial cable alternative. Underground projects normally require a cable and installation system specifically approved for the soil, moisture and mechanical conditions. GERITEL WIRE can review the route description and quote a more suitable sheathed or underground cable construction when needed.

Can the cable be installed in underground conduit?

Single core cable in underground conduit may be possible only when the complete cable, conduit, moisture, drainage and local-rule requirements are satisfied. Because this product is unsheathed, the designer must confirm suitability for the environment. GERITEL WIRE can provide technical data and alternative cable options for comparison.

Is V90 PVC building wire waterproof?

PVC insulated building wire has useful electrical insulation properties, but "waterproof" is too broad a claim for an unsheathed single core cable. Water entry, conduit conditions and terminations still matter. GERITEL WIRE supplies the construction as specified and asks buyers to identify wet or submerged locations so the correct cable family can be selected.
