SAA 110°C Single Core Elastomer Cable for Large Industrial Feeders
At the top of the listed range, the 630mm² X-HF-110 cable is intended for major fixed low-voltage feeders requiring a large copper cross-section and installation flexibility. The Class 5 bunched annealed conductor is insulated with X-HF-110 and sheathed with black HFS-110-TP to create a 0.6/1kV SAA 110°C elastomer cable for protected building and industrial systems. It can serve as a main power distribution cable between transformer rooms, main switchboards and high-load plant areas, or as a large industrial feeder cable in free air, conduit, trench and underground duct. Applications

 

Flexible single core X-HF-110 insulated and HFS-110-TP sheathed cable for mains, submains and subcircuits unenclosed, enclosed in conduit or in underground ducts for building and industrial plants where not subject to mechanical damage. Suitable where space is at a premium and/or where conditions of overload may occur.

Yes. A cable trench installation is permitted where the cable is protected from mechanical damage and the thermal conditions are considered. GERITEL WIRE can provide cable dimensions, weight and bending radius for tray, cleat and route planning.
Can the cable be directly buried without protection?
Do not assume unrestricted direct burial. The specified applications focus on ducts, trenches or ground routes with protection. For a direct buried elastomer cable request, GERITEL WIRE reviews the mechanical, water and environmental requirements and may recommend another sheath or protection system.
What is the minimum bending radius?
The referenced data specifies a minimum bending radius of 4D after installation and 6D during installation, where D is the overall cable diameter. GERITEL WIRE provides the actual diameter for each 110°C cable bending radius calculation so installers do not use one value for every size.
How much pulling tension can the cable withstand?
Allowable pulling tension depends on conductor size, pulling method, route length and accessories, so a universal value should not be guessed. GERITEL WIRE can provide cable weight and dimensions and review the pulling method for a large flexible single core cable.
