Halogen Free X-HF-110 Cable for Substation Low-Voltage Distribution

The 500mm² flexible copper cable is developed for high-capacity fixed circuits in substations, industrial plants and major building power systems. Its fine-stranded Class 5 conductor improves installation handling, while X-HF-110 insulation and an HFS-110-TP black sheath form a 0.6/1kV halogen free power cable rated for conductor temperatures up to 110°C. Typical use includes a transformer secondary connection cable, main switchboard feeder or substation low voltage cable installed in free air, protected conduit, trench or underground duct. The cable should be protected from mechanical damage and sized for actual load and installation conditions. GERITEL WIRE supports technical submittals, inspections, marking, drums and export documents.

Applications

Flexible single core X-HF-110 insulated and HFS-110-TP sheathed cable for mains, submains and subcircuits unenclosed, enclosed in conduit or in underground ducts for building and industrial plants where not subject to mechanical damage. Suitable where space is at a premium and/or where conditions of overload may occur.

Can it be used outdoors?

Outdoor use depends on the level and duration of weather, UV, water and mechanical exposure. The base data refers to protected or occasional exposure rather than unrestricted permanent sunlight. GERITEL WIRE reviews the route before confirming an outdoor 110°C cable or recommending conduit and shielding.

Can I use this cable for solar DC circuits?

This 0.6/1kV AC power cable is not automatically a certified solar cable. Photovoltaic circuits normally require a dedicated PV standard, voltage rating and outdoor performance. GERITEL WIRE will recommend a solar cable instead of misapplying the X-HF-110 power cable.

Can the cable be installed in free air?

Yes. Free-air installation is one of the listed conditions, but ampacity depends on spacing, grouping, ambient temperature and exposure. GERITEL WIRE can provide free air cable current data from the applicable technical table and the cable dimensions needed for support design.

Can it be pulled through conduit?

Yes, provided the conduit fill, bend radius, pulling tension and route are suitable. The Class 5 conductor helps installation, but it does not remove pulling limits. GERITEL WIRE supplies conduit installation cable diameter and drum information so the contractor can plan the pull.
