Medium voltage underground cable is made of compacted copper, ensuring minimal electrical resistance and improved conductivity. The compacted nature of the conductor reduces voids, resulting in a denser structure that enhances durability and performance.

Surrounding the copper conductor is a semi-conductive screen, which helps in distributing the electrical stress evenly. This layer serves as a protective barrier that reduces electrical field irregularities, preventing partial discharges and enhancing the cable's longevity.

Medium voltage cable is armored with galvanized steel wire. This armor provides resistance to external forces such as impacts and crush loads, safeguarding the internal components from physical damage during installation and operation. The galvanized coating on the steel wire offers corrosion protection, ensuring long-term performance in various soil conditions.
