ACWU90 XLPE Insulated Aluminum Cable uses RW90 cross-linked polyethylene insulation on aluminum alloy conductors for a 600V cable design associated with a 90°C insulation rating. That rating does not automatically determine a finished circuit's ampacity; terminal temperature limits, installation conditions and code tables still govern selection. GERITEL WIRE combines the insulated conductors with interlocked aluminum armour and an overall PVC jacket. Scope

This specification covers three or four compact-stranded 8000 series aluminum alloy conductors with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation plus one bare aluminum alloy bonding conductor in multi-conductor cables. Conductor assembly is wrapped and enclosed in interlocked aluminum armour with flame retardant PVC jacket.Type ACWU90 cable is conforming to CSA C22.2 No. 51 standard .cUL file No.E544860.

Application

Type ACWU90 cables are primarily intended for exposed and concealed wiring in dry or wet locations and where exposed to the weather. For use in ventilated, non-ventilated, and ladder type cable trays in wet and dry locations; direct earth burial; service entrance above or below ground.
