CUL Standard XLPE Copper RW75/RW90/RWU75/RWU90 Cable

RW75/RW90/RWU75/RWU90 wire is a wire used in residential, commercial, and industrial applications for low-voltage power distribution in Canada. RW75/RW90/RWU75/RWU90 wire is a pure copper conductor and XLPE insulation, where "75" and "90" represent temperature levels, with a maximum operating temperature of 75 degrees and a maximum operating temperature of 90 degrees. It has good electrical performance, heat resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance, and can be used in humid and dry environments. The cable complies with Canadian standards and is equipped with CSA standards.

RW75 cable has a maximum temperature of 75°C. It is designed for use in dry or damp locations, typically installed in conduits or cable trays. However, it is not suitable for direct burial and offers only moderate heat resistance, making it ideal for standard indoor or light-duty applications.

RW90 cable features cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation, which allows it to operate at temperatures up to 90°C in dry or wet locations. It offers superior thermal and insulation performance compared to RW75 and is commonly used in environments where higher heat resistance and long-term durability are required. It is also not rated for direct burial.

RWU75 cable is similar to RW75 in terms of temperature rating (75°C), but it is specially designed with moisture-resistant PVC insulation for direct burial applications. It can be installed underground or in outdoor damp conditions, offering better environmental protection than standard RW75.

RWU90 cable combines the high-temperature resistance of XLPE insulation (90°C) with the ability for direct burial installation. It is rated for dry, wet, and underground environments, it is the most versatile option among the four.
