TW75 Cable 600V

TW75 cables are constructed with high-quality, annealed (soft) copper conductors and insulated with a durable thermoplastic polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compound that offers excellent resistance to heat, moisture, and sunlight. These cables are suitable for both indoor and outdoor wiring applications, especially in environments where exposure to moisture or UV light is a concern. Cables are available in a variety of color options to simplify circuit identification during installation. Stranded conductor sizes ranging from No. 14 AWG to No. 4/0 AWG are manufactured using combination of unilay stranding for improved flexibility and uniformity, while larger sizes utilize compressed stranding for compact construction and efficient current flow.

Application

TW75 cables are designed for use in a wide range of general-purpose wiring applications where durability and moisture resistance are essential. They are primarily intended for installation in conduit (raceways) or as exposed wiring in both dry and damp locations. With a maximum voltage rating of 600 volts, TW75 cables are well-suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial projects. According to Canadian Electrical Code Part 1, cables can operate in environments with ambient temperatures up to 75°C in both dry and wet conditions. For cold climate installations, they are capable of being handled at temperatures down to -10°C, with continuous low operating performance down to -25°C, and reliable operation even in challenging Canadian weather conditions.

Standards

tw75

  • TW75 cables are engineered and tested to meet or exceed stringent industry and safety standards.
  • These cables comply with ASTM B3, B8, and B787 specifications for copper conductors and are certified under CSA Standard C22.2 No. 75, with file listing LL90458.
  • For enhanced safety assurance, it complies with CSA FT1 flame retardant test requirements and is cold bend test compliant at -25°C, it suitable for installation in cold climates.
  • Cables are both CSA and c(UL) listed, ensuring full compliance with Canadian and U.S. regulatory requirements.

Certification

TW75 cables are fully certified to meet the rigorous requirements of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), ensuring safety, reliability, and performance in a variety of electrical installations. Manufactured in accordance with CSA Standard C22.2 No. 75, cables have been tested and listed under file number LL90458, confirming compliance with Canada's national electrical code. These cables also meet the CSA FT1 flame test rating, providing added assurance in applications where fire resistance is critical. With CSA certification, cables are approved for use across residential, commercial, and industrial projects throughout Canada, giving contractors and end users confidence in every installation.
