Good solar panel cable management keeps conductors off the roof surface, away from sharp edges and clear of moving or hot parts. Use outdoor-rated clips designed for module frames and avoid loose loops that can rub in wind. Can ordinary nylon cable ties be used outdoors?
For long-term outdoor PV work, use UV resistant cable ties for solar or purpose-designed clips. Ordinary indoor ties can become brittle under sunlight and allow the cable to sag or rub against metal edges. Can solar cable touch the roof surface?
