Defrost heater wiring must cope with low ambient temperature followed by localized heating and moisture. Refrigeration equipment wire with silicone insulation remains flexible in cold conditions and can serve protected links to heaters, drain pans, fans and controls. Designed for use in environments where sustained heat resistance is required, SIA and SIAF cables have heat resistant properties up to 200°C and can also be employed at temperatures as low as -60°C. These cables are low smoke zero halogen and are suitable for power plants, a wide range of industrial applications in processing, packaging, refrigeration,foundaries, air craft construction and ship building.

What is SIA/SIAF silicone wire used for?
SIA SIAF silicone wire is a single-core, silicone-rubber-insulated product for protected wiring in equipment exposed to sustained heat or wide temperature changes. SIA uses a solid conductor, while SIAF uses a flexible stranded conductor. For engineering and purchasing teams, GERITEL WIRE can review application temperature, circuit load and installation method before recommending the conductor construction. Send the operating temperature, circuit load and routing details for a technical check.
Is silicone wire the same as silicone rubber cable?

A silicone rubber insulated cable uses silicone as its electrical insulation, but the market may use "silicone wire" for a single core and "silicone cable" for either single- or multicore products.
