8 AWG RHH wire is well suited to protected fixed power circuits that require a larger stranded copper conductor for equipment feeders, panelboards and commercial distribution pathways. GERITEL WIRE manufactures 8 AWG RHH building wire with thermoset insulation designed for 90°C service in dry locations. The stranded construction supports easier routing through conduit and raceway compared with rigid solid conductors, while the increased conductor area provides greater current-carrying potential subject to code and installation conditions. GERITEL WIRE offers 8 AWG thermoset copper wire with multiple voltage markings, project printing, color options, reel lengths and bulk packaging.

Application and Description

GERITEL WIRE's USE-2 600 Volts or RHH/RHW-2 1000 Volts power cables are suited for use in wet and dry areas, conduits, ducts, troughs, direct burial, aerial supported by a messenger, and where superior electrical properties are desired. These cables are capable of operating continuously at the conductor temperature not in excess of 90°C for normal operation in wet and dry locations, 130°C for emergency overload, and 250°C for short circuit conditions. Rated for 1000 lb/ft maximum sidewall pressure.
