Lightweight Aluminum Conductor for Commercial Industrial and Building Power Distribution

GERITEL WIRE manufactures UL44 Aluminum RHH Wire for protected fixed power distribution in commercial buildings, industrial facilities and electrical rooms. The stranded aluminum conductor helps reduce cable weight for project handling and installation, while the thermoset insulation is designed for reliable 90°C service in dry locations. Aluminum RHH Building Wire can be supplied for 600V, 1000V and 2000V project requirements, subject to the confirmed specification. GERITEL WIRE also supports Thermoset Aluminum Wire with custom printing, color identification, reel length, packaging and stable bulk production for distributors, contractors, OEM manufacturers and project buyers.

APPLICATIONS

Type USE-2, RHH or RHW-2 cables with Aluminum Alloy 8000 Series conductors are suitable for use in conduit and raceways installed underground in wet locations, and where condensation and moisture accumulations within the conduit do not exceed 90°C. Permitted for Type USE-2 per UL-854 for applications requiring direct burial. For applications requiring Type RHH or RHW-2, conductor temperatures shall not exceed 90°C in wet or dry locations. Type USE-2 is permitted for 600 volt applications. Type RHH/RHW-2 is permitted for applications up to 1000 volts.

FEATURES

10 AWG and larger rated for Sunlight Resistance. Cables comply with UL's FT-2 (horizontal wire flame). On 250 KCMIL and larger, sequential foot markings located every foot for easy measuring. For 1 AWG through 4/0 AWG, sequential foot markings on master reels only unless otherwise specified. 1/0 AWG and larger are rated for cable tray use and comply with UL-1685-Method 1 (70,000 Btu/hr) flame test. Excellent ruggedized and mechanical protection.
