1/0 THHN cable features stranded, uncoated copper conductors, adhering to the stringent standards set by ASTM-B3, ASTM-B787, and ASTM-B8. The stranded design ensures flexibility, making it suitable for various installation environments, while the uncoated copper provides excellent conductivity. These specifications guarantee that the 1/0 THHN cable meets industry requirements for electrical performance and durability.
Application
1/0 THHN cable is designed for versatile general-purpose applications, in line with the requirements set by the National Electrical Code (NEC). It is suitable for both new construction and rewiring projects in 600-volt systems. The cable can be used in wet or dry environments, with a maximum operating temperature of 90°C in dry conditions and 75°C when exposed to oil or coolants. Additionally, it is ideal for Type MTW applications, where it can safely operate at 90°C in dry locations or up to 60°C in wet environments or when exposed to oils or coolants. For applications requiring Type AWM, the 1/0 THHN cable can withstand temperatures up to 105°C in dry conditions, making it a reliable choice for a wide range of industrial and commercial installations.
