Direct Bury UF-B Cable Electrical Wire
 

The conductor of the UF-B cable is made of 14-10 AWG solid soft bare copper wire that meets the ASTM-B3 standard, and 8 AWG and larger sizes are stranded uncoated copper conductors that meet the ASTM-B8 standard, which have excellent conductivity. The insulation layer is a colored polyvinyl chloride (PVC) material that meets the required thickness of THHN or THWN-2 type and is covered with a heat-resistant nylon sheath that can withstand working conditions in a dry environment of 90°C and a humid environment of 75°C. In addition, the cable is equipped with a soft bare copper grounding conductor, and the system grounding is safe and reliable.
The outer layer of the cable is a gray PVC sheath with excellent anti-sunlight and anti-fungus properties, suitable for long-term outdoor or underground use. The cable structure is reasonably designed, and the insulated conductors of the 2-core and 3-core structures are arranged in parallel. When equipped with a ground wire, the ground wire is located in the groove between the insulated conductors for easy wiring and installation.

 

Application

 

 

UF-B (Underground Feeder-B) cable is a high-performance, widely used electrical cable that complies with the relevant provisions of Article 340 of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and is suitable for a variety of electrical installation environments. It is designed to be used as indoor wiring in humid, dry or corrosive environments, with an operating temperature not exceeding 90°C, but its current carrying capacity must be calculated according to the limit of 60°C conductor to ensure the safe operation of the cable.
