It can be safely used in damp locations within protected enclosed raceways, but it does not carry a direct burial rating and is not approved for unrestricted exposed outdoor use. For underground direct burial projects, we recommend UL 44 listed USE-2 wire; for exposed cable tray runs, our UL 1277 TC-ER cables provide a fully code-compliant alternative.
