The current-carrying capacities of HOFR NBR insulated super flexible copper welding cables are determined under conditions of 25°C ambient air temperature and a maximum conductor temperature of 90°C. Actual allowable currents vary depending on the duty cycle of the application. For example, automobile welding operations can reach up to 100% duty cycle, semi-automatic welding typically ranges between 30% and 85%, manual welding falls between 0% and 60%, while very occasional or intermittent welding applications operate at up to 20% duty cycle. This performance flexibility ensures that the cable can meet a wide range of welding requirements, delivering stable electrical performance even under varied workloads.
