12.7/22kV copper MV underground cable features a Class 2 conductor made of high-purity electrolytic aluminum. The conductor is wrapped in a material designed to enhance electric field dispersion across the cable conductor's surface. The cable is fully insulated using a cross-linked material that ensures reliable insulation coverage. To simplify connection processes, the semiconductive layers in contact with the insulation are peelable and partially bonded. For added protection, a metallic screen surrounds the cable, with helically wrapped copper wires providing shielding. Additionally, a layer of hygroscopic material beneath the outer sheath prevents the longitudinal spread of water, enhancing the cable's durability in underground environments.
Min. installation temperature: 0°C
Operating temperature: -25°C to +90°C
Emergency operating temperature: 105°C
Max. Short Circuit Temperature: 250°C
Application
Large-scale infrastructure, power stations, and power supply systems in high-altitude areas such as mountainous areas all require the use of medium-voltage cables. The cables is resistant to low temperatures, UV rays, and mechanical damage to ensure power supply in complex terrain.

Feature

• Conductor: Stranded Compacted Circular Copper conductor as per AS/NZS 1125
• Conductor Screen: Extruded Semi-conductive compound
• Insulation: XLPE
• Insulation Screen: Extruded Strippable Semi-conductive compound
• Longitudinal Water blocking : Water blocking tape above and below copper screen (Optional)
• Metallic Insulation Screen: Copper Wire Screen + helically applied copper tape (E/F current capacity – Based on requirement)
• Metallic Sheath: Lead Alloy (optional)
• Termite Protection: Polyamide (Nylon -12) (optional)
(Alternative Sheath: PVC+HDPE Composite Sheath or PVC + Nylon + HDPE
(composite sheath with anti-termite properties) or LSZH Outer sheath, and parameters will change accordingly)
Certification
Copper MV underground cable has obtained SAA certification, with certification numbers SAA242046 and SAA250307 (available on the certification website). For Australian projects, regulatory compliance isn't optional; it's mandatory. Dongguan Greater Wire & Cable Co., Ltd.'s cables fully comply with local Oceania standards and regulations. This eliminates legal or regulatory risks for contractors, distributors, and project owners. Using uncertified products can result in fines, inspection failures, or forced replacement, which can be extremely costly and time-consuming.
