Three Core 12.7/24Kv Aluminum MV Cable

3 Core medium voltage cable, the reasonable design of current carrying capacity and conductor cross-sectional area, material, and insulation thickness enables the cable to work stably for a long time under rated load, avoiding overload and overheating. It prevents the influence of the temperature of the use environment, wiring method, and other heat sources, and ensures the service life.

Application

 

 

Three core 12.7/24 kV aluminum medium voltage cable utilizes aluminum conductors, which are lighter and less expensive than copper conductors. It is ideal for long-distance overhead-to-underground transition lines, large-scale renewable energy projects requiring multiple kilometers of cable, and other projects within this voltage range. Rated at 12.7/24 kV, this cable is suitable for feeder connections between inverters, switchgear, and substations, ensuring that renewable energy enters the main grid with minimal losses. A: 1. Voltage level: The chosen conductor must match the system voltage. Low-voltage products are applied in systems below 1kV, while medium- and high-voltage types are designed for higher power transmission needs.

2. Current carrying capacity: Select a specification with sufficient ampacity according to the actual load. In general, the larger the cross-sectional area, the greater the current it can safely carry. Proper sizing helps prevent overload, overheating, or damage.

3. Use environment: In extreme temperatures, select materials with appropriate heat or cold resistance. For humid areas, waterproof options are required; in corrosive or oily environments, products with strong chemical resistance are preferable. Depending on the installation method-open, concealed, underground, or overhead-choose a design that provides the needed wear and tensile strength.
