Application
Mining cable is typically designed as a trailing cable, intended to follow the movement of mining equipment, providing power as machinery is repositioned at a mining site. Unlike reeled cables, which are designed to be repeatedly wound and unwound, trailing cables are more flexible and rugged, suitable for use in environments where equipment is frequently moved, towed or relocated. The cable can withstand frequent bending, twisting and pulling, which is common in mining operations where machinery needs to be relocated over rough terrain. The flexibility of mining cable ensures that it can easily move with the equipment, preventing damage and reducing the need for frequent repairs or replacements.

Feature

Mining cables feature flexible stranded tinned annealed copper conductors that ensure efficient power transmission while remaining flexible for easy handling and installation in mobile applications. The conductors are designed to withstand mechanical stress and environmental factors such as abrasion and shock, making them ideal for use in mining operations where the cables are constantly moving and operating in harsh conditions. The conductor shield is made of a semi-conducting compound, which helps prevent electrical interference and ensures safe and efficient operation of the power system. The insulation is made of EPR (ethylene propylene rubber) which offers excellent resistance to heat, moisture and electrical stress.
Certification
Mining cable has passed SAA (Australia and New Zealand Certification Agency) certification and complies with safety standards and regulations in Australia and New Zealand. This certification ensures the reliability and safety of mining cables in extreme environments, especially in dangerous conditions such as high temperature, humidity, and fire. SAA-certified mining cables can effectively resist external mechanical shock, chemical corrosion, and electrical failures to ensure the stable operation of the power system. The certification process includes rigorous testing to ensure that the cable can maintain good conductivity and durability under heavy loads, high temperatures, and harsh conditions, greatly improving the safety of power transmission in mining operations.
