Application
TF cable thermoplastic covered fixture wire conductors are designed for use in appliances, internal wiring, and lighting circuits, as well as for feed-up circuit lines. According to the National Electrical Code (NEC) NFPA 70, Article 402, TF conductors are suitable for low-power circuit systems, but they are not intended for use in household branch circuits. These wires are commonly used in situations where flexible, reliable wiring is needed for equipment and devices within controlled environments, providing essential electrical connections for various applications while adhering to safety and performance standards.

Feature

TF cable thermoplastic covered fixture wire are made of soft annealed copper conductors insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) thermoplastic. This material combination provides the cable with excellent flexibility, electrical insulation and mechanical protection for a wide range of applications. The PVC insulation ensures good electrical performance and durability over a wide range of temperature and humidity conditions.
Certification
TF cable thermoplastic covered fixture wire that has passed UL certification proves that it meets UL's safety requirements, especially in terms of fire resistance, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and electrical insulation performance, ensuring that the wire can effectively avoid fire and electrical accidents in daily use.
UL certification provides a quality guarantee to ensure that TF wires meet international electrical safety standards and that the product continues to meet the requirements. Consumers and installers can use it with confidence and avoid potential risks caused by non-compliant wires.

FAQ
Q: How resistant are TF wires to UV rays?
A: TF wires have limited tolerance to UV rays. The insulation layer of TF wires is usually made of thermoplastics, which are designed primarily for electrical insulation and flexibility but are not highly UV resistant. Long-term exposure to UV rays may cause the insulation layer to age, crack, or become brittle. Compared to UV-treated wires (such as THWN-2 or USE wires), TF wires have a shorter lifespan in UV environments.
TF wires are suitable for indoor or well-shielded environments, but not for direct exposure to strong UV rays.
Q: Can TF wires be used in industrial applications?
Q: Is lubricant required when using TF wire?
