GERITEL WIRE manufactures AS NZS 5000.2 SDI Wire for buyers supplying Australian and New Zealand fixed-wiring projects. The 450/750V construction uses stranded annealed copper, V-90 PVC insulation and a PVC outer sheath, creating a clear single-core cable design with added protection compared with an unsheathed conductor. Typical applications include residential distribution, commercial fit-outs, modular buildings, switchboards and industrial auxiliary circuits. Depending on the electrical design, it may be installed in free air, conduit, protected trenches or underground ducts where mechanical damage is controlled. Production can include red or black insulation, customized sheath printing, project lengths and export reels. Compliance documentation should be matched to the ordered model under SAA-241265-EA.

The supplied SDI cable certificate shows an initial issue date of 24 September 2024 and an expiry date of 24 September 2029. Certificate status and the exact model scope should be checked again when a project requires formal approval or before a new order is released.

Can the approved cable be supplied with RCM information?

RCM marked SDI wire can be discussed within the approved product scope and agreed sheath-print layout. GERITEL WIRE confirms the marking before production, while the Australian or New Zealand supplier remains responsible for the local registration and compliance obligations that apply to the sale.

How do I confirm that my requested size is covered?
