Manufactured, tested and certified in Canada, GERITEL WIRE AC90 armoured building wire is rated FT4-ST1 for -40°C to 90°C. Engineered specifically for demanding environments, superior flammability and smoke emission performance.

For use in ventilated, non-ventilated and ladder-type cable trays.

For dry locations, in ceiling air-handling plenums, exposed or concealed wiring and service entrance above ground.

FAQ

Can AC90 be used inside electrical cabinets?

A AC90 cable for electrical panels may terminate at panelboards, distribution equipment or cabinets, but AC90 is generally a building-wiring cable rather than internal control-panel hook-up wire. Inside-cabinet conductors and wiring methods should follow the equipment standard and design.

Can AC90 cable be installed outdoors?

Standard AC90 dry location cable is generally intended for dry locations, so it should not be selected as a general outdoor cable simply because it has metal armour. For wet or outdoor exposure, consider a cable such as ACWU90 or another product specifically rated for the environment.

Can AC90 be installed in wet locations?

Standard AC90 dry location wire is not the preferred choice for wet-location installation. Even though the individual conductors may use RW90 insulation, the complete cable assembly should be used according to its certified location rating.

Can AC90 be direct buried?

Standard AC90 building cable should not be assumed suitable for direct burial. Direct-burial projects normally require a cable specifically certified for that environment, such as an appropriate ACWU90 or other underground-rated construction.
