When a project requires a larger conductor for higher-current branch circuits or selected feeder applications, 10/2 AC90 cable provides copper conductors with RW90 XLPE insulation inside flexible interlocked aluminum armour. The 2 conductor black/white construction is suitable for dry indoor building wiring where 10 AWG is selected by the circuit design, including equipment feeds, longer branch runs and higher-load applications subject to code requirements. APPLICATIONS

Manufactured, tested and certified in Canada, GERITEL WIRE AC90 armoured building wire is rated FT4-ST1 for -40°C to 90°C. Engineered specifically for demanding environments, superior flammability and smoke emission performance.

For use in ventilated, non-ventilated and ladder-type cable trays.

For dry locations, in ceiling air-handling plenums, exposed or concealed wiring and service entrance above ground.

Yes. AC90 building wire is used as an armoured building-wiring method for suitable indoor circuits in commercial, residential, multi-residential and light industrial buildings. It is commonly selected where flexible routing and built-in mechanical protection are desirable.

Can AC90 cable replace conduit and individual wires?

In many permitted dry indoor applications, AC90 armoured building cable can reduce the need for a separate raceway plus individual conductors because the interlocked armour provides integrated mechanical protection. Whether it can replace conduit in a specific location depends on the electrical code, project specification and environmental conditions.

Is AC90 cable flexible?
