APPLICATIONS

Manufactured, tested and certified in Canada, GERITEL WIRE AC90 armoured building wire is rated FT4-ST1 for -40°C to 90°C. Engineered specifically for demanding environments, superior flammability and smoke emission performance.

For use in ventilated, non-ventilated and ladder-type cable trays.

For dry locations, in ceiling air-handling plenums, exposed or concealed wiring and service entrance above ground.

Is AC90 only used in Canada?

Canadian AC90 cable is strongly associated with the Canadian electrical market and Canadian armoured-cable standards. Buyers in other markets should confirm local code acceptance and certification requirements before specifying AC90.

Can AC90 be supplied without an outer PVC jacket?

Standard bare armour AC90 cable typically has exposed interlocked aluminum armour rather than a continuous outer PVC jacket. If a project requires a jacketed armoured cable for wet, outdoor or harsher conditions, ACWU90 or another appropriate cable type should be evaluated instead.

Does AC90 include a grounding or bonding conductor?

A typical AC90 bonding conductor construction includes a copper bonding conductor as part of the cable assembly. This conductor supports the equipment bonding path, while the two black/white insulated conductors are the circuit conductors in the 2C configuration.
