RW90 XLPE insulated BX wire with flexible interlocked aluminium armour
6/3 AC90 cable is built for light industrial facilities, workshops, large commercial buildings and higher-capacity feeder applications. It combines three insulated copper circuit conductors with RW90 XLPE insulation, a bare copper bonding conductor, paper wrap and flexible interlocked aluminum armour in a 600V building-wire construction. The armour provides practical mechanical protection while keeping the cable easy to route through walls, ceilings and service spaces. GERITEL WIRE supplies 6 AWG 3 conductor BX wire with stable factory production, customized packaging, technical support and phased project supply. This size is positioned for permanent dry indoor wiring where AC90/BX is permitted. Manufactured, tested and certified in Canada, GERITEL WIRE AC90 armoured building wire is rated FT4-ST1 for -40°C to 90°C. Engineered specifically for demanding environments, superior flammability and smoke emission performance.

For use in ventilated, non-ventilated and ladder-type cable trays.

For dry locations, in ceiling air-handling plenums, exposed or concealed wiring and service entrance above ground.

Yes. AC90 branch circuit cable is widely used for suitable dry-location branch circuits in commercial, residential and institutional buildings. The three-conductor configuration can support circuit arrangements that require three insulated conductors.
Can AC90 be used for feeder wiring?
Yes, AC90 feeder cable can be used for selected feeder applications where the conductor size, ampacity, voltage drop and project design are appropriate. Final sizing must be based on the applicable electrical code and load requirements.
What is the difference between 2 conductor and 3 conductor AC90?
The main difference is the number of insulated circuit conductors.
