RHH cable and RHW-2 cable are very similar in structure. Both use annealed (soft) copper conductors and use cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation, which has excellent heat resistance, moisture resistance, abrasion resistance and UV resistance. However, RHH cable is mainly designed for dry environments and is not suitable for long-term use in wet or underground environments. RHW-2 cable is suitable for dry and wet environments, and can be used for underground direct burial installation. It is more common in building exteriors or outdoor power distribution systems. Its waterproof performance is better than RHH.
