Copper RHH Cable

Copper RHH cable (Rubber-insulated, Heat-resistant, for Dry Locations) uses annealed copper conductors and cross-linked polyethylene insulation materials. It has good heat resistance and high reliability and is widely used in a variety of electrical systems. Its operating temperature can reach 90°C (dry environment only), the rated voltage is 600 volts, it meets ASTM B3, B8, and B787 standards, and is UL 44 certified, ensuring its safety and stability in various environments.

Application

Copper RHH cables are commonly used in power distribution systems in industrial and commercial buildings, especially in dry environments without moisture. They are resistant to high temperatures and corrosion and are suitable for internal wiring in power transmission and distribution systems, especially in places where conductors are required to have a certain degree of flexibility. For example, motors, control panels, distribution equipment and other electrical equipment in high temperature areas, cable connections for machines, tools and other electrical equipment, etc.

Certification

RHH cable is UL certified, with certification number UL-US-2561148-0. This certification can be verified through the official UL database, which provides full traceability and product authenticity. With this certification, customers can trust that the cable complies with all relevant NEC standards. It also guarantees reliable safety, durability, and regulatory compliance, even in the most demanding electrical installations.

FAQ

Q: What does RHH mean on the wire?

A:  RHH is Rubber-insulated, Heat-resistant, and intended for use in dry locations.

Q: What is the difference between RHW and RHH?

A:  The difference between RHW and RHH is their intended use environment and ability to withstand moisture:
1. RHH: Rubber-insulated, heat-resistant, for use in dry locations, typically up to 90°C (194°F) in dry conditions.
2. RHW: Rubber-insulated, heat-resistant, wet locations, typically 75°C (167°F) in wet conditions and up to 90°C (194°F) in dry conditions. Specially manufactured to be waterproof, suitable for underground or outdoor installations where exposure to moisture is possible.

Q:  Where is RHH wire used?

A:  RHH wires are primarily used in dry environments where the wires need to withstand high temperatures. Examples include wiring in machine tools, heavy equipment, and industrial machinery where the wires are exposed to heat but not water.
