How is armoured TECK90 different from a plain insulated building wire?

Armoured TECK90 cable includes a mechanically protective interlocked metal armour and protective jackets around the insulated conductor. A loose RW90 building wire does not become TECK90 simply by using similar XLPE insulation. These are different finished constructions with distinct installation and product certification requirements.

Why do industrial buyers specify single-conductor TECK90?

Industrial purchasers choose single-conductor TECK90 power cable when they need a one-core feeder with a robust overall assembly for fixed equipment or distribution routes. Selection depends on conductor size, voltage, required mechanical protection, routing and the specific environmental approvals, not on the product name alone.

What conductor material is standard in 1000V single-core TECK90?

A common 1000V copper TECK90 cable uses annealed Class B stranded copper as its main power conductor. Copper configuration, strand count and compaction follow the manufacturer's approved design. Aluminum-conductor alternatives exist in the market, but should be quoted as a separate construction rather than silently substituted.

Why is the copper conductor stranded?

A stranded copper TECK90 cable uses multiple conductor strands to support practical manufacturing and installation of large power conductors. Stranding does not make the completed armoured cable a continuously flexible trailing cable. Minimum bending radius and pulling requirements still apply to the entire assembly.
