Application
UL 16 AWG and 18 AWG TFN cables are designed for fixture line applications and can withstand temperatures up to 90°C, and as a MTW type, the cable is suitable for use in wet environments, or when exposed to oils or coolants, with a temperature rating of 60°C in such environments. In dry environments, it can withstand temperatures up to 90°C, and the ampacity is limited to 75°C conductor temperature per NFPA 79, making it a reliable choice for industrial and commercial machinery wiring. The cable is rated for 600 volts, ensuring its suitability for a wide range of electrical installations in different fields, including fixtures, machine tools, and appliances.
Feature
UL 16 AWG and 18 AWG TFN cables feature annealed (soft) copper conductors that provide excellent flexibility and conductivity for a variety of electrical applications. The conductors are insulated with durable, heat- and moisture-resistant polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation, ensuring reliable performance in both dry and wet environments. A nylon (polyamide) jacket is then applied over the insulation to provide additional protection against mechanical wear, abrasion, and environmental factors. This cable is available in a variety of colors, including black, white, red, blue, green, yellow, orange, brown, purple, gray, and pink.
