What is the minimum service temperature?
The supplied specification lists -40°C as the minimum service temperature for fixed/protected installation. A -40°C solar cable still needs correct handling during installation because minimum handling temperature can be different from fixed-service temperature. GERITEL WIRE can help confirm the requested standard, size, color and marking before quotation so the cable matches the project specification.
Can I install the cable below freezing?
Cold weather PV cable can operate in low temperatures, but bending and handling a cold cable may require a higher minimum installation temperature than its fixed-service rating. Avoid forcing tight bends when the cable is extremely cold. For project orders, GERITEL WIRE can support technical clarification, cable marking, reel or drum packaging and export documentation.
How much current can 4mm² solar cable carry?
There is no single 4mm² solar cable amp rating that applies to every installation.
