Lightweight Facility Power Conductor for Critical Electrical Rooms and Protected Distribution Systems
Aluminum RHH Wire for UPS Rooms can support protected facility-side feeder and distribution systems where UL44 RHH conductors are specified by the electrical design. The stranded aluminum conductor helps reduce installed cable weight, while thermoset insulation provides 90°C dry-location service for electrical rooms and switchgear pathways. Aluminum RHH Switchgear Cable is intended for fixed power distribution rather than flexible UPS battery interconnection, so final selection should follow the project pathway and listing requirements. APPLICATIONS

 

Type USE-2, RHH or RHW-2 cables with Aluminum Alloy 8000 Series conductors are suitable for use in conduit and raceways installed underground in wet locations, and where condensation and moisture accumulations within the conduit do not exceed 90°C. Permitted for Type USE-2 per UL-854 for applications requiring direct burial. For applications requiring Type RHH or RHW-2, conductor temperatures shall not exceed 90°C in wet or dry locations. Type USE-2 is permitted for 600 volt applications. Type RHH/RHW-2 is permitted for applications up to 1000 volts.

FEATURES

 

10 AWG and larger rated for Sunlight Resistance. Cables comply with UL's FT-2 (horizontal wire flame). On 250 KCMIL and larger, sequential foot markings located every foot for easy measuring. For 1 AWG through 4/0 AWG, sequential foot markings on master reels only unless otherwise specified. 1/0 AWG and larger are rated for cable tray use and comply with UL-1685-Method 1 (70,000 Btu/hr) flame test. Excellent ruggedized and mechanical protection.
