300 kcmil RHH cable gives facility designers a large stranded copper conductor for protected high-load feeders in commercial and industrial power systems. GERITEL WIRE produces 300 MCM RHH copper wire with thermoset insulation for 90°C service in dry locations, supporting distribution between electrical rooms, switchgear and major equipment when RHH is specified. The larger conductor area offers greater current-carrying potential, while final ampacity remains dependent on pathway, ambient conditions, conductor grouping and terminal ratings. GERITEL WIRE supplies 300 kcmil UL44 power cable with custom voltage marking, surface printing, reel-length planning and project packaging for phased construction.

Application and Description

GERITEL WIRE's USE-2 600 Volts or RHH/RHW-2 1000 Volts power cables are suited for use in wet and dry areas, conduits, ducts, troughs, direct burial, aerial supported by a messenger, and where superior electrical properties are desired. These cables are capable of operating continuously at the conductor temperature not in excess of 90°C for normal operation in wet and dry locations, 130°C for emergency overload, and 250°C for short circuit conditions. Rated for 1000 lb/ft maximum sidewall pressure.
