RHH Aluminum Building Wire is a practical solution for protected power distribution in offices, retail buildings, schools and other commercial facilities. GERITEL WIRE uses stranded aluminum conductors to reduce installed cable weight while maintaining dependable electrical performance, combined with thermoset insulation for 90°C dry-location service. UL44 Aluminum Building Wire can be routed through approved conduit and raceway systems for fixed feeders and distribution circuits according to the project design. GERITEL WIRE supplies Commercial Aluminum RHH Wire with project-specific printing, color identification, reel lengths and packaging, helping contractors and distributors manage repeat construction orders more efficiently.

XLP insulated aluminum RHH wire

APPLICATIONS

Type USE-2, RHH or RHW-2 cables with Aluminum Alloy 8000 Series conductors are suitable for use in conduit and raceways installed underground in wet locations, and where condensation and moisture accumulations within the conduit do not exceed 90°C. Permitted for Type USE-2 per UL-854 for applications requiring direct burial. For applications requiring Type RHH or RHW-2, conductor temperatures shall not exceed 90°C in wet or dry locations. Type USE-2 is permitted for 600 volt applications. Type RHH/RHW-2 is permitted for applications up to 1000 volts.

FEATURES

10 AWG and larger rated for Sunlight Resistance. Cables comply with UL's FT-2 (horizontal wire flame). On 250 KCMIL and larger, sequential foot markings located every foot for easy measuring. For 1 AWG through 4/0 AWG, sequential foot markings on master reels only unless otherwise specified. 1/0 AWG and larger are rated for cable tray use and comply with UL-1685-Method 1 (70,000 Btu/hr) flame test. Excellent ruggedized and mechanical protection.

Aluminum RHH control cabinet wire may be used for larger fixed power conductors where the cabinet terminals, space and project design permit aluminum. It is not intended to replace small flexible control wiring or signal conductors. For OEM equipment, GERITEL WIRE recommends confirming conductor size, bend space and lug compatibility during the design stage.

Is Aluminum RHH Cable suitable for panel builders?

Aluminum RHH Cable for panel builders can support OEM and project applications that require larger fixed power conductors to panels or assemblies. GERITEL WIRE can provide repeat production, customized surface printing and packaging for approved constructions. Panel builders should confirm aluminum-compatible terminals and minimum conductor bending space.

Can Aluminum RHH Wire be used for distribution boards?

Aluminum RHH distribution board wire can be used for incoming or feeder circuits where the board accepts aluminum conductors and the cable type matches the installation. Proper lug selection and torque are especially important. The conductor size should be based on the circuit design, not simply matched to a previous copper conductor size.

Can Aluminum RHH Cable be used for UPS input feeders?

Aluminum RHH UPS feeder cable can be considered for fixed facility-side input or output feeders where the UPS equipment and project design allow aluminum conductors. It should not be confused with flexible battery interconnect cable. Check the UPS manufacturer's terminal requirements, fault-current design and conductor sizing before selection.
