Application

TC-ER cables are particularly suitable for scenarios such as industrial control systems, power distribution, signal transmission and lighting systems. Its design supports cable tray installation and allows short-distance exposed runs without the need for additional pipe protection, thereby reducing installation costs and complexity. TC-ER cables can meet industry standards such as UL 1277, provide reliable performance and long-term use in various harsh environments, and are an ideal choice for industrial-grade cables.

Feature

Tray Cable

TC-ER cable (Tray Cable-Exposed Run) meets the B-class compression stranded bare copper conductor of ASTM B3 and ASTM B8 standards, providing excellent conductivity and mechanical strength. The outer layer is a double layer of insulation consisting of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and nylon, type THHN/THWN, ensuring reliable operation of the cable in high temperature and humid environments. The built-in B-class compression stranded bare copper ground wire (in compliance with ASTM B3 and B8 standards) and the outer layer is made of a high-strength polyvinyl chloride (PVC) sheath, providing excellent waterproof, corrosion-resistant and abrasion-resistant performance.

Certification

TC-ER cable (Tray Cable-Exposed Run) has successfully passed UL certification, which meets strict international standards in terms of safety, durability and performance. UL certification is an important quality assurance in the field of electrical products, indicating that the product meets the electrical safety and reliability requirements of the North American market.

FAQ

Q: What is type TC-ER cable?

A: TC-ER stands for Tray Cable Exposed Run, a designation applied to cables that meet certain safety and performance standards and can be used in cable trays and exposed runs without additional protection.

Q: What is a tray cable used for?

A: Tray cables are versatile cables primarily used in industrial, commercial, and utility settings to transmit power, signals, and data.

Q: What is the difference between a tray cable and a regular cable?

A: Tray cables are designed for structured systems such as cable trays and exposed wire. Withstands harsh industrial environments (moisture, chemicals, heat, abrasion). Often includes shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI). Suitable for wet, dry, hazardous, and outdoor locations. Includes conduitless exposed wire options (e.g. TC-ER).
Regular cable is suitable for general wiring in residential or less demanding applications. Limited durability; not suitable for extreme conditions. Usually unshielded or lightly shielded. Typically suitable for indoor or residential use. Industrial use requires conduit or protection.
