UL Type TC-ER Tray Cable Helical 600 Volts

UL Type TC-ER Helical 600V tray cable is a high-performance cable designed for industrial control systems, power distribution, and mechanical equipment wiring. Its conductor uses 14 AWG to 10 AWG fully annealed standard bare copper, which meets the ASTM B8 Class B stranded structure. The cable insulation layer is made of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) and belongs to XHHW-2 type insulation. It has excellent heat resistance and is suitable for dry and humid environments at 90°C. The external 5 mil copper tape spiral shielding structure effectively improves the electromagnetic interference protection capability and ensures the stable transmission of signals and power.

Application

600V TC-ER tray cable is a multifunctional control and distribution cable suitable for a variety of industrial and commercial scenarios. It is designed for stable power supply and signal transmission in complex environments. The cable allows open installation without the need for additional protective casing, greatly simplifying the wiring cost and construction difficulty. It is rated at 600 volts and is suitable for industrial automation systems, control circuits, motor power supply, pump connection, lighting systems, and mechanical equipment wiring. The cable structure adopts high-conductivity annealed copper conductor, XHHW-2 grade cross-linked polyethylene insulation, spiral copper tape shielding and UV-resistant PVC sheath. It has excellent heat resistance (90°C dry and wet environment), anti-interference, oil resistance, moisture resistance, flame retardant, low temperature resistance (-40°C cold bending), and other properties. It can be used for cable trays, cable ducts, pipelines, or direct underground laying, especially suitable for electrical systems that require high reliability and long-term operation in harsh industrial environments.

Certification

TC-ER tray cables are certified by multiple authorities for their safety and reliability in industrial, commercial and harsh environments. The cables comply with UL 1277 standards and are listed as Tray Cable (TC), which is suitable for a variety of installation methods such as cable trays, conduits and ground laying. At the same time, the cables can be laid directly on walls or structures without additional metal protective tubes when meeting specific fixing requirements, greatly simplifying the installation process. The cables also pass the UL 44 (XHHW-2) insulation standard to ensure that they can operate safely up to 90°C in dry and humid environments.

FAQ

Q: What is a TCER cable rating?

A: TC-ER cable rating is safe for use in tray systems and can be exposed for short runs outside of protective conduit, thanks to its enhanced mechanical durability, flame resistance, and often sunlight and oil resistance.

Q: What is the difference between TC and TC-ER?

A: Both are tray cables, but TC-ER cables have higher structural strength and mechanical protection capabilities, meeting the NEC requirements for "exposed run". Compared with ordinary TC cables, TC-ER can replace metal conduits under certain conditions to reduce construction costs.

Q: Can TC-ER cables be buried directly in the ground?

A: Yes. TC-ER cables that comply with DIR BUR (Direct Burial) can be buried directly underground without the use of conduits and have good water resistance, corrosion resistance, and mechanical strength.
