Can THHN be submerged continuously?

Continuous submersion is a specialized application and should not be assumed from THWN-2 alone. Use a product specifically approved for the intended submerged service. For international orders of THWN-2 wet rated wire, GERITEL WIRE can coordinate technical confirmation, color and size selection, printing, packing and shipment documentation.

Can THHN/THWN-2 be used in washdown areas?

It may be used in suitable raceway systems in wet areas, but the raceway, fittings, equipment and conductor ratings all need to match the washdown environment. GERITEL WIRE can support moisture resistant building wire distributors and contractors with product-data confirmation, OEM requirements, batch identification and export-ready packing.

Can THHN be used in chemical plants?
