For heavy feeder circuits in large buildings and industrial facilities, GERITEL WIRE 4/0 AWG THW cable provides a strong combination of conductor area, low resistance and reliable PVC protection. The stranded copper conductor has about 0.167 Ω/km resistance at 20°C and is covered by 2.03 mm PVC insulation, resulting in an approximate 17.66 mm overall diameter. The 75°C ampacity reference is 230 A. Typical uses include switchboard feeders, mechanical plant rooms and high-load equipment circuits installed in approved raceways. GERITEL WIRE 4/0 AWG THW electrical cable can be supplied in large project lots with color customization, meter marking and wooden drums designed for transport and organized site handling.

Application and Description

The THW conductor is suitable for most current wiring solutions for residential, commercial and industrial environments. It is used in service entrance, feeders and branch circuits for permanent installations.THWconductors in sizes 14 AWG to 1000 Kcmil (MCM) can be installed in conduits and other raceways.The temperature of installation shall not exceed 75°C(THW), not exceed 90°C(THW-2).
