High-Capacity Flexible Copper Cable for Major Installations

This 400mm 0.6/1kV flexible cable provides a practical solution for large project connections where a flexible conductor is required but the completed installation remains fixed. Its bunched annealed copper conductor meets AS/NZS 1125 Class 5, and the V-90 PVC insulation is produced to AS/NZS 5000.1 for 0.6/1kV service. The 400mm V-90 PVC flexible wire is suitable for glanding, has a 0°C minimum operating temperature and a +90°C maximum operating temperature, and is tested for flame propagation to AS/NZS 1660.5.6. GERITEL WIRE offers blue, red, black, white, green, yellow and green/yellow insulation colours. For protective earthing, specify the green/yellow 400mm Class 5 flexible copper cable and confirm size, gland and termination details with the project engineer.

Is the PVC insulation oil resistant?

Standard V-90 PVC has limited chemical exposure capability and should not be assumed to resist continuous oil contact. For oil-rich machinery environments, request an oil resistant flexible cable or a different insulation system. With international export experience, GERITEL WIRE can coordinate product documents, packing and shipping requirements. The confirmed data does not establish permanent UV, immersion, oil or chemical resistance, so those environments require separate written approval or another cable construction. GERITEL WIRE can help coordinate the cable, gland, lug and fixed-installation requirements. Useful specification terms are V-90 PVC insulation, AS/NZS 5000.1 flexible cable and single core unsheathed cable.

Is the cable halogen free?

No. Standard V-90 PVC is not a low-smoke zero-halogen material. Where smoke, acidity or halogen performance is specified, use a dedicated LSZH cable and verify its complete standard and fire-test package.
