GERITEL WIRE Fixed Wiring SDI Cable is designed for permanent power distribution rather than portable equipment or repeated movement. Its stranded copper conductor supports dependable current transmission, while V-90 PVC insulation and the additional PVC sheath form a compact protected single-core construction. Typical uses include building mains, floor distribution, final circuits, switchboard wiring and fixed connections to industrial equipment. Cable selection and current rating should follow the applicable installation method, including free air, conduit, thermal insulation, underground ducts or protected trenches. Sizes from 1mm² to 16mm² are available with red or black insulation and a white sheath. OEM printing, cut lengths, reels, packing design and export documentation can be coordinated for wholesalers and project contractors.

PVC INSULATED AND SHEATHED CABLE TO AS/NZS 5000.2. For mains, submains and subcircuits unenclosed, enclosed in conduit,buried or in underground ducts for buildings and industrial plants where not subject to mechanical damage.

Can this SDI product be selected for a mains route?

SDI cable for mains wiring can be selected where its 450/750V rating, conductor size and installation method meet the approved design. Service-provider requirements, voltage drop, fault protection and likely mechanical damage must also be considered.

Is single-core SDI suitable between distribution boards?

SDI wire for submains is commonly used for protected fixed routes between switchboards or distribution points. The designer must choose the conductor size from the load, length, grouping, installation method and applicable derating factors.

Can the product serve lighting and power branch circuits?
